Turns out the outbound nipple on the housing (that the hose attaches to) was almost corroded away. The hose was just barely hanging on. Replaced the thermo with a 180 degree and replaced the housing. Works great.<BR>

Another thing you could try is to take apart the raw water side of the cooling system (you won't lose any antifreeze), and look for obstructions. The most common would be parts of old impellers. They get caught in bends and nipples. Start at the water intake and go from there. It sounds like you have SOME cooling, just not enough. <BR>
