                                        </font></p><font color="black" size="3" face="Arial"><p>After four seasons, I unstepped the spar in the fall of 2008.  Since the spar was down, I replaced the masthead sheaves with nice ball bearing sheaves from Garhauer.  I discovered that the original sheaves, again, used for four seasons, were in excellent condition.  They are 2 1/8 x 1/2 plastic sheaves and they have a brass bushing lining the bearing hole.  I don't really have any use for them, so if anyone wants them, I'll sell them as a set for $8.00 plus whatever it costs me to ship them to you.   First come first serve.

</p><p>BTW, the new aluminum Garhauer sheaves are just a tad thicker than the original sheaves.  One pair fit fine.  The other pair required that I mill down the plastic spacer that goes between them.  A few passes with my orbital sander with 80 grit, then some polishing with 200 grit did the trick.
