Bill -- Very little time to answer but here is the net-net - But just
got these recently from Defender and got a good price
 
You can try to get the plastic bushing out, but there is no need all the
replacement kits for the stripper give you one -- most likely it will
break anyway when you get the gypsy top and bottom parts out (if not
just pry the top and bottom #16 & #17 apart and it will break in two :-)
