I saw him at the Boat Show in Atlantic City some years ago. He passed me going downt the East River in NYC in 2000. He had so much junk on his deck I almost could not find out what kind of boat he was on. He is a colorful character.

Hi All,
For those of you who've been keeping track of the travels of the Alaskan Poor Boy, he was tied up in the Seward Small Boat Harbor last weekend. I was out walking the docks with friends and came across the boat. No one was on board, but he's evidently come home to Alaskan waters. I'm going down to Seward tomorrow to take my parents, and a few close friends & family, out for a sail to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. I'll try to get a picture of the Alaskan Poor Boy and post it so you can see the modifications he's made to the boat for crossing oceans.
