[C36IA] Lifting dingy on foredeck-LIFTING HARNESS

My Achilles comes with three lifting eyes, one forward in the bow (inside
the dingy), and two drilled through the transom with the eyes on the inside.
If your dingy has a wood transom, you could mount two stainless steel eye
bolts there. Forward you¹d probably have to attach to the bow painter
fitting.

As far as the harness, Forespar makes the best but they are very expensive
because of the three snap shackles. Go look at one to see how they are
designed (you¹ll need webbing, sliders, shackles, and a 2² stainless steel
ring), then go to an REI (or maybe SailRite) or anyplace that sells 2²
webbing and webbing fittings and make your own (you can easily sew two-inch
webbing on a home sewing machine). Use shackles instead of snap shackles to
save cost. You¹re not dealing with a great amount of weight for the average
dingy.
