Catalina 36 International Association

Hello Everyone,

Fleet 2I would like to introduce myself to those of you who I have not yet met. My name is Cynamon Dawson and I am the newly elected Fleet Captain for the C36 Fleet 2. Since our last meeting, on June 12th, we have made so much progress and I am so excited. One of the accomplishments was naming our newsletter "Catalina Spirit" which you will find attached. I am looking forward to serving as your Captain and I promise I will do my best to meet the needs of our fleet. I am quite confident that in the coming months our fleet will grow remarkably.

I would first like to recognize and thank Mark Bierei for reorganizing this fleet. Without his effort and hard work we would not be where we are today. I would also like to congratulate him on being elected Fleet 2 Vice Captain. Mark your the best!!

I would also like to recognize and thank Steve and Wendy Jones, our "Catalina Sprit" Editors. They have worked very hard on creating the attached newsletter and have done an OUTSTANDING job. The two of them have an amazing talent that speaks for itself when you see the newsletter. Way to go!!

Lastly, but certainly not least, I would like to congratulate the following officers who were also elected:

• Brian Rusaw - Membership / Secretary
• Josie Derry - Event Coordinator (Omlette Queen)
• Steve Felter - Technical Liaison

I have so much more information to share with you but I don't want to be too overwhelming all at once. One thing that I am real excited about (besides the fabulous newsletter) is something that Brian Rusaw has created for potential new members. It is still in the works but when it's finished, we will share it with you.

I feel like we have such a great team because of what we have accomplished so far and I am truly excited about the future of our fleet.
