Just browsing my Nov 2009 issue of Mainsheet and couldn't help but immediately notice that there is a changing of the guard ocurring in the C36 Association. Commodore Tom Sokoloski and the MK I and MKII technical editors (Chooch Jewell and Tom Senator, respectively) are all resigning their posts after many years of great service to the association. Just wanted to thank you guys and let you know that because of your efforts I have taken a much greater interest in my C36 (I'm a two year owner) than I ever did in my previous boat which I had for 18 years. Thanks for your tremedous support of C36 owners and best wishes for wherever the winds may take you!
Lastly, welcome to our new Commodore, Chic Lasser and our new MKI and MK II tech editors (Steve Frost and Larry Brandt respectively). I've recently read many of Larry's postings on this forum and I have to say it appears that we will continue to be in very good hands.

I second Rick's thanks and congratulations. Even though I'm a C34 owner, all the information and support, here on the forum and on the mailing list made it real easy to be an associate member. The C400 org probably isn't aware of the gift they're getting with Tom Soko.

I want to second that as well. These gentemen, Commodore Tom Sokoloski and technical editors Chooch Jewell and Tom Senator, have invested a lot of their time and have been devoted to the professionalism of this site. We, as members of the C36 community owe them a big thank you. It sounds as if we are in good hands with the changing of the guard. Thank you guys for your support!

I join everyone in thanking Tom, Chooch and Tom for their hard work and also in congratulating our new Commodore and Technical Editors. Let's help to make their jobs easier by remembering that it's OUR association and that it's up to each of US to contribute what we can. Talk to other 36 owners you meet about joining the Association, send in the stories and photos of that great summer trip you took on your 36 and write some articles about those terrific upgrades you're doing on your boat. With the number of 36's afloat, there's no reason we can't make the 36 section the fattest and most valuable section of Mainsheet. This will, in turn, bring more 36 owners to the Association when they see the value of sharing ideas and stories with other owners. Hmmm, now where did I put that camera?

I too would like to thank the Tom's and Cooch for their hard work and dedication to the C36IA . I'm among the newer C36 owners and just in the two short seasons we've owned our Catalina, these guys have provided great advice and support that's save me literally thousands of dollars. I know my boat much better than I could have hoped to otherwise. I wish the outgoing officers well in their future endeavors and look forward to learning even more from the incoming crew. They have big shoes to fill but I'm sure they are up to the challenge.
