Does anyone have a conversion kit or know anyone that can change the old fack looking wood formica to the more modern white for all the counter and table tops?

I have seen the inside of 88;s and new c36's with the white and it looks so much better, lighter and brighter?

Thanks

Bob

the simple answer is that you either replace it yourself or have someone else do it. it is fairly straight forward to replace. I believe that there are some articles on subject on the website. I replaced mine, i just roughed up the existing counter tops, applied white Formica and trimmed it. the hardest part was fitting the back edges and around the dry storage and ice box. i just made a pattern and cut out the Formica a little oversized.
good luck on your project!

Wish you had posted this about a month sooner. I would have given you my old counter top from our 1990 36. I replaced ours with corain. Our old one was white. All I have left it the frige cover.

On my first 36, a 1986 model, I laid ceramic tile on the kitchen & head counters. It was absolutely stunning and SOMEWHERE, there's a 4 page feature article in an oooooooold Mainsheet magazine on all the stuff I did to that boat. In addition to the tile, I teak-panelled EVERY inch of interior fiberglass below the cabintop. It looked like a Hans Christian inside....with Berber carpeting. Anyway, if you decide to try tiling the counters, I can tell you some of the tricks I used.

This sounds like it would work on everything except the table tops, what did you do there?

Do you have any pics left?

Thanks
