I recently upgraded my radio and am more than happy with the results. I purchased one from Best Buy. A $130 Pioneer unit and $30 expansion plug. The plug is connected via a port in the back. I am able to connect a portable XM player, IPOD, and the audio from the DVD player all with separate connections. There is also an Aux jack on the front, but is not needed due to the 3rd party plug.

You don't always need to buy a new radio to upgrade. I have a 10 year old Sony with external CD changer. I just disconnected the changer and bought conversion plugs to change the RCA cables to mini plug. I now connect the ipod with a 10 ft extension cord. I rarely listen to the radio anymore and can take the ipod up to the cockpit to control things.

When I upgraded I went to the RV market, found a wall mount AudioVox Voyager. It has many features that home stereos have. It includes AM/FM radio, CD changer and Aux input for MP3 or other inputs. I uses the aux input for Sirius Satalite Radio input. It also has a clock and alarm feature. Plenty of power and has A/B or both output for cabin, cockpit or both speaker outputs. The later models also play DVD's and have an output for your TV if you want dramatic stereo sound when watching DVD's.

I have a Sony Explode and an attached 10 disc changer. Recently, my AM is just gone. No static, no nothing. Knowing nothing about radios, I guess I'll have to replace it.
