Mike,

My manuals are on board the boat as well as the engine itself and that's a 10 hour round trip by car. I won't see the boat until mid May at the earliest.

Perhaps you or other readers can confirm my engine model from a photograph.

Here is my engine.

Four cylinder, I would say M35. You can verify by reading the model on the Universal plate that is visible in the picture.

Mike:
Here are a few sites that might help if your manuals are at the boat. There is a lot of more info also on each site of you look around them.

Looks like the Universal M35 B C on my 1999 Mk II. But you can just call Catalina and they will let you know as long as you tell them the sail number and year of your boat.

William, here is a link to Westerbeke where you can get a PDF Operator and Parts manual that may be of help.

Universal M Series Manual (http://www.westerbeke.com/parts/manuals.cfm?mID=198)

William & All - Given where the raw water pump is located, I think it's just a M35, but not the "B" model.

I have to agree with Craig, on it being a M35. You do not see a gear case either in front under the water pump as a M35 b has. I have this same motor in our 1990 #1057.
