Howdy,
we are thinking about chartering a boat in North Carolina this summer (June actually). can anyone provide any insight as to what/where to go? the charter company is Carolina Winds in Washington. any input would be appreciated. what kind of weather/wind can we expect, this will be in the early part of june.
regards,

Hello Mike,
My wife and I own a boat and it is located at the New Bern Grand Marina in New Bern, NC. That time of the year should be wonderful! These are great crusing waters here in NC. Carolina Wind is a reputable marina and David Norwood is not only a competent and able Captain but a very nice guy.
There are some great destinations from (little) Washington, or as we call it the first Washington because it predates Washington, DC. When you are here be sure to stop by the newly-relocated Pacific Seacraft factory only 2 miles from Carolina Wind.
When you have a date of when you are coming be sure to contact me; my wife and I would love to meet you and show you some southern hospitality while here in North Carolina!

Try Claiborne Young's website: http://cruisersnet.net/
Scan the tabs at the top of the webpage for North Carolina references; you'll find much useful information.
Claiborne authors a guide to Cruising North Carolina. He also has excellent videos on NC cruising.
You will surely enjoy Washington, Oriental, Bath, New Bern and Beaufort. If weather permits try Okracoke on the Outer Banks. The waters are big and wide here in NC.
